Thank you to everyone who attended our Community Information Session on 16 June 2026. We appreciated the opportunity to share information about the Hazelwood East BESS project and hear directly from community members, neighbours, landholders and stakeholders.
The feedback, questions and local insights provided during the session will help inform our ongoing planning and engagement activities as we continue to refine the project.
The Hazelwood East BESS is seeking planning approval through the Development Facilitation Program, administered by the Victorian Government’s Department of Transport and Planning. As part of our application, we are completing detailed technical and environmental assessments, engaging with regulators and continuing conversations with the community.
We are also continuing to explore opportunities for community benefit sharing and local investment initiatives. We thank community members who shared their views on local priorities and opportunities, which will help shape how the project can deliver meaningful, long-term benefits for the local area.
We look forward to continuing the conversation and seeking further community input as the project progresses.
